Once I tried to cook classic red cabbage and it wasn’t so good without sugar. Then I found how to replace it with combination of beetroot and kohlrabi. I like this recipe and it has success also at our non-paleo visitors. :-)
- 2 beetroots,
- 2 kohlrabis,
- 1 large onion,
- 1 Tbsp lard,
- 2 Tbsp balsamico,
- 1 Tbsp salt,
- 1 Tbsp caraway,
- 300 ml water.
- peel beetroots and kohlrabis grate them,
- fry chopped onion on the lard,
- add grated beetroots and kohlrabis together with other ingredients and cook for about 45 minutes.
